Q3 so far was highlighted by the Exceptional Web Experiences (aka IBM WebSphere Portal Excellence) conference. Davalen got a chance to feature its work with the Davalen Charts product, which is intended for robust graphic support for Dashboards in Portal. We are actively implementing this solution for healthcare and energy clients and look forward to adapting it to more markets. This solution incorporates many of the features in Web 2.0 to make the charting engine more in tune with graphics support that clients are demanding. The use of animation, 3D, and drill-down capabilities are just a few of the features being used.
At the Portal Conference, IBM announced the release dates of IBM WebSphere Portal and WebSphere Portlet Factory version 7. We have been working with the IBM WebSphere Portlet Factory team and the Davalen Portlet Factory training is available (electronic release of v7 is available now and the media version is available September 24th).
Stay tuned for an advanced Portlet Factory course, which will focus on the GUI design in Portlet Factory and the use of the DOJO and Ajax builders that ship with release 7 of Portlet Factory.
